Private Instruction

I offer private instruction for both piano and voice students. While I have taught other instruments in the past, I feel I am the most qualified to teach piano and voice, with the latter having formal education to back those qualifications and the former having enough experience behind it.

The current rates for private lessons are $1/minute, which relates to the rates listed below. While the rates appear to limit those who are older than 12 years old to 45 minute lessons, I am open to negotiating shorter lesson times.

Accompaniment

Accompaniment rates are dependent purely on the closeness of an event as well as the number of pieces performed. The closer the event, the higher the charge. An additional $5.00 will be charged per additional piece.

Recital Accompaniment

If participating in a full-scale recital outside of the studio, different rates will apply. For example, a collegiate junior recital or collegiate senior recital will not be charged on a piece-by-piece basis. I offer flat charges for recitals with additional charges if extra rehearsals are needed.

Junior Recital (2 rehearsals)..............................$200.00

Discounts

If registering more than one student for lessons, the rates will be varied. 2 to 4 students will receive $5.00 off their preferred lesson length per student, while 5+ will receive $8.00 off per student. For example, a family of 3 each taking 30-minute lessons will only pay $75.00 per week as opposed to the $90.00 three separate students would be charged collectively.

All rates listed are non-negotiable. Payments are also non-refundable unless otherwise stated below.

All lesson rates are non-negotiable.  Cancellations and moving slots are allowed, but tuition is non-refundable once paid. 

Private Instruction tuition will be charged on a monthly basis. Monthly payments will be calculated based on 4.5 lessons. This is determined based on certain months having more of a certain day than another (i.e., some months have 4 Tuesdays in it while another can have 5). 

Accompaniment rates are non-negotiable. Payments will be required prior to the event, but are not required at the time of scheduling.

Voice lessons will be restricted to ages 12 and older, as younger students’ voices are still maturing, which can lead to habits that are damaging to the voice (nodules, scarring, tearing, etc.).

All lessons with the exception of voice lessons are also offered online, in case in-person options are not available. When registering, please specify whether online or in-person.

Failure to pay within 30 days will be met with a formal demand letter, and lesson times being postponed until payment. Failure to pay within 60 days will be met with legal action, and lesson times will be postponed indefinitely.
